We act as personal shoppers for our clients, ensuring they are properly protected and receive the best rates available.

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Insurance Producer to join our independent brokerage. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in account management and personal lines insurance, with a proven ability to hunt for new business and leverage existing client relationships for upselling and cross-selling opportunities. The agency is acquiring a sizeable book of ACA health insurance clients, creating significant cross-sell potential for additional products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs

  • Maintain, manage, and grow a book of ACA health insurance clients

  • Upsell and cross-sell additional products to existing clients

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities

  • Shop and compare policies across multiple carriers

  • Advise clients on coverage options and risk management

  • Prepare and present insurance quotes

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and policies

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license (required)

  • Active Life, Accident & Health (LAH) insurance license (strongly preferred)

  • Experience working in an independent brokerage (top preference)

  • Minimum 2 years experience in P&C insurance

  • Account management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and maximize client value

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Ability to work on-site in Hamburg, NY (hybrid work available)

  • Strong sales acumen, including:

    • Ability to sell on value - emphasizing the personalized service, carrier choice, and risk protection advantages of working with a broker

    • Skilled at consultative selling - identifying client needs and tailoring solutions

    • Comfortable addressing objections and differentiating value beyond price

    • Ability to educate clients on the benefits of bundling and long-term relationships
